Beliefs

God
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self- existent – one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God in it’s entirety.

The Human Condition
We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. We willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin.

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus-Israel’s promised Messiah-was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, arose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is now alive and sitting at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate and also living in us who believe. He is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring God’s Kingdom on earth.

The Work of Christ
We believe we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit, convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters in love and power.

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live holy and minister super-naturally. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and Acts 2:4 and believe is poured out on believers that they might have power to be witnesses. We believe the victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross and being resurrected, provides freedom from the power of the enemy including sin, lies, sickness, torment and curses.

The Church
We believe that the true church comprises all who have put their faith alone in Christ and the work He performed through the cross. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith, these ordinances confirm and nourish the believer. The church exists to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ and to advance the Kingdom of God through tearing down the works of the enemy by preaching and living the good news of the Gospel in God’s love and to disciple nations through baptizing and teaching them to love and follow after God.

Christian Living
We believe in the ever increasing government and Kingdom of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ and Savior, for His overcoming bride, His church. Heaven and hell are real places and there will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting death. We recognize that God is continually restoring truths, revelations and light to His Church. We therefore do not place any limit on further revelation. However, each must be substantiated and lined up with the Scriptures.

Special Characteristics:

The Centrality of the Gospel
We believe that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ must be central to all church teaching and activity. The Gospel is a “whole Gospel for the whole Christian life.”

The Gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the empowering of the Holy Spirit for service and the present day operation of the gifts of the Spirit, as described in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11.

The Ministry of Every Believer
We believe that every believer, regardless of race, gender or educational status, is called by God to participate in His glorious purpose. We are all “full time” in the ministry, even if we have a secular vocation, and to this end, each believer has a unique mix of ministry gifts, as determined by the Holy Spirit.

The Unity of the Body of Christ
We believe in the indivisible unity of the Body of Christ, established solely upon the foundation of the Gospel of Christ. We believe that God is bringing His Body into a practical expression of unity, as described in John 17:20-23 and Ephesians 4:13.
