We have some big, exciting news we’d like to share with you today!
For some time now, we’ve been diligently seeking God’s heart and plan for the next phase of Living Word. After seeking, knocking, and asking, we have received God’s directive and blueprint.
We believe it is wise with today’s volatile economy and our small congregation to leave the building and broaden our borders for a greater focus on outreach, discipleship, and evangelism in lieu of using the financial resources for rent, utilities, building supplies, etc. This would allow us to have a greater impact in our outreach efforts.You see, this transition is about the Nations rather than maintaining what is familiar and comfortable to us now. As a result, we will be transitioning the ministry into a discipleship and outreach ministry outside of the walls of the church building.
Although we still don’t know entirely what this will look like, below is an outline of the initial plan as we leave the old infrastructure behind and build according to the new plans God has given us:
- Every 2nd Saturday of the month beginning in October, we will gather in a home,restaurant, park, etc for a time of food, fellowship, outreach and evangelism planning, and discipleship.
- Every 4th Saturday of the month we will continue to hold outreaches to the homeless.
- As additional resources become available, we will outreach locally in the community to the poor by going into specific neighborhoods with food, clothing, toiletries, etc. while also offering prayer
- As Holy Spirit inspires, we will hold special worship events to gather corporately for worship and ministry time
- We will make ourselves available to minister with our core team at other ministries
What’s next?
You may be wondering when all of the changes will take place and where things will be happening. Below is an outline of the schedule for reference. Our final service at the building will be Aug 21. We will reserve the first two weeks of September for moving out of the building.

Church at Living Word Worship Center 10:30 am

Homeless Outreach 11 am – 2 pm (meet at and leave from Living Word)
Aug 28
Minister at Ignite Ministries, Ashland, OH at 11:00 AM; please plan to join us there in lieu of a service at Living Word
Aug 31
Soaking Prayer 7 pm as we pray into this next phase
Sept 1-17
Moving out of the church building
Sept 24
Homeless Outreach (more details for this outreach on meeting location, etc to follow closer to the date of the Outreach)
We are also excited to announce that a local business in Plain City, OH, ProPower, located at 214 S. Jefferson Avenue has partnered with us to donate storage space to house our outreach supplies and to be a drop off location for any new donations of goods. They will be open Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm for items to be dropped off.

We want to say thank you to each one of you reading this, as we have had some very intimate, holy moments in the Lords presence together in the building for which we are very grateful and hold dear to our hearts. We praise God for all of our supporters, whether in ministry of helps, encouragement, leadership, finances, etc. Each and every one of you have played an important role in our lives and we can’t thank you enough! We are excited to see what unfolds before us in the coming phase and hope you will continue to journey with us as friends and partners in God’s Kingdom.
