The God of Many Chances
We received a Word last week that we were going to experience a time of restoration. That 12 years of missed opportunities was going to come back around and we would have the ability to not miss them this time. He spoke to me and said “Tell them God has forgiven you.
And He told me that the body of Christ was going to experience a year of new seasons, and new chances, and new things, with new doors and new visions and new clarity, and new dreams. 2018 was going to be a year like none other.
He is resurrecting old dreams and visions, bringing deep hope for the lost, addicted and neglected.
Many of us are in a time of waiting to go to the next level, the next realm, the next manifestation, the next revelation or the next breakthrough.
Our desire and faith is pointed
I am waiting to go to the next level in ministry, we want to teach more people, evangelize more, plant more family rooms, buy a building to have a home base, be full time etc. and I know we are progressing and changing and transitioning, but the waiting has been years.
For some of you it may be different levels in business, or jobs. God began to speak to us that sometimes, we look too much forward and forget where we are right now and how far we have come. There is a full buffet to eat from right where we are! Not just a one course or even 4 course meal but a buffet!
He told us to eat right from the buffet of where we are and where we have been! There are gifts, knowledge and understanding that you currently have that if we can fine tune and hone in on the great strength within, we will see the progression in our lives toward heaven and toward others with love.
There is a returning to the old wells that we have dug, a returning to the waters of the deep that we have been swimming in and have splashed in. The returning of the fruit that has been harvested as it is in season!
You are being given another chance, and another chance, and another!
It is a season of great mercy and grace, full of power and life.
John 18:17 and 25-27
Peter walks with Jesus but then denies Him 3 times!
John 21:1
Then after the resurrection, Jesus appears cooking breakfast and then asks Peter 3 times if he loves him. Feed my sheep. Jesus trusts Peter and He trusts you. Cast your net into the deep.
God is a God of many chances. When asked, “How many times do I need to forgive, seven times?” Jesus said, “Not up to seven times but seven times seven.” His grace and mercy prevail over every failure, sin, and struggle we ever have.
Today is a new day full of opportunity to have an encounter with God, to experience His goodness, to go from glory to glory, to go to a new place, a new level, begin to believe again and eat from the buffet that is before you!
Jump back in the game, don’t give up now as God is releasing a fresh wind, a holy fire upon you for this season. Go ahead and eat from the table. Let God move in greater then He ever has. The Holy Spirit is leading you today.
Even though the past may have dealt some pretty tough hands, those episodes were practice for the good stuff. He is turning around those things and turning it into your fruit. The fruit for the harvest. The fruit to help others get through what you overcame.
Twelve years of missed opportunities are before us. Let’s make sure we rise up in faith and not miss any of them.
You are worthy to receive the goodness and mercy of the Lord.
Romans 12:2 (Romans: Grace and Glory – The Passion Translation)
2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
Colossians 1:20-23 (Letters from Heaven: By the Apostle Paul)
20 And by the blood of his cross, everything in heaven and earth is restored brought back to himself—back to its original intent, restored to innocence again!
21-22Even though you were once distant from him, living in the shadows of your evil thoughts and actions, he reconnected you back to himself. He released his supernatural peace to you through the sacrifice of his own body as the sin-payment on your behalf so that you would dwell in his presence. And now there is nothing between you and Father God, for he sees you as holy, flawless, and restored!
23 Continue to advance in faith, assured of a firm foundation to grow upon. Never be shaken from the hope of the gospel you have believed in. And this is the glorious news I preach all over the world.
Romans 8:10-11 (Romans: Grace and Glory – The Passion Translation)
10 Now Christ lives his life in you! Even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God.
11 Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!
Prayer
Father thank you for redeeming the time and restoring all the missed opportunities. I pray for effective doors and opportunities to open up. Allow me to walk with a confidence and boldness to walk out all that you have for me.
Thank you for more revelation of Your love towards me and the world that I could display Your nature to everyone you want me to. Let them see You in me as I am in you and You in me. In Jesus name, Amen!
